Robin Closes Series B, Led by Tola Capital

As you may know, we’re a Boston-based SaaS workplace scheduling and management platform that is modernizing the open office. We’re proud to announce we recently raised $20 million in a Series B round led by Tola Capital. Existing investors Accomplice and FirstMark participated in the round, along with new strategic investor Allegion Ventures.

Where We’re Going

We plan to invest the new capital in establishing the first platform to seamlessly integrate today’s dynamic workforce into the modern, flexible work environment. Robin’s workplace experience platform has been expanding to encompass more of the daily office workflows — including rooms, desks, visitors, and office services/providers. By bringing more flexibility and insight to the workday, Robin will serve a broader set of workplace needs for medium and enterprise customers. Robin expects to invest heavily in go-to-market, hiring, and expanding its Boston headquarters.

“Workplaces exist to support the employees. Offices need to support all the types of work that happen throughout the day — or lose to a local coffee shop,” said Robin CEO Sam Dunn. “We give companies insight into what their team needs from the office — with apps for scheduling, seating charts, or mapping the workplace.”

“Robin sits right at the intersection of people and space, two of any company’s most significant cost drivers. As such, it can deliver exceptional value to its customers,” added Aaron Fleishman, the Tola partner who led the round. “Robin’s software manages the full experience for flexible workspace, not only improving the workplace for employees but also equipping employers with the insights required to continuously adapt the office as needs evolve.”

“There’s no doubt Robin adds productivity and smart space utilization by empowering employees to choose their ideal work environments throughout the day, be it conference rooms, offices, standing desks, common spaces or other areas,” Allegion Ventures President Rob Martens said. “As the benefits of the IoT are realized in our homes, it becomes more expected that our places of work will also be transformed into flexible spaces that offer more conveniences and a higher quality of life for employees. As a strategic investor, Allegion Ventures can help Robin grow through our insights and expertise in secure seamless access and people flow.”

More than 1,300 businesses, including DraftKings, HubSpot, and Pendo rely on Robin for resource scheduling, space management, and office maps. The company also has established partnerships with Herman Miller, Crestron, and Convene, and it recently teamed up with Alexa for Business to support voice controlled room scheduling.
