Productivity and Proximity in the Hybrid Workplace

You’ve read the headlines. You’ve watched the news. Office spaces are sitting unused while leaders try to get people back together to reap the benefits of in-person connection. The new model for work is where connection and flexibility can coexist. Predominantly remote work just isn’t cutting it. It’s time to rebalance the scales with hybrid work.
We polled 500 employers across industries to see how leaders view hybrid employee productivity in the office vs. WFH and how employer perception impacts things like employee promotions and company culture.
Turns out, employers believe that the backbone of culture is in-person touchpoints. We found that:
- 62% of leaders said that in-office time was either a somewhat or very important factor in an employee receiving a promotion or salary increase.
- Over 67% of leaders said they mandate employees work from the office two or three days a week
- 43% of respondents said their organization plans to increase RTO mandates in 2023.
The value of in-person collaboration and connection is real. It’s time to give hybrid work policies more structure so employees and employers can do their best work. Download the report for more insights and actionable takeaways for your hybrid work plans.
