Writing this blog was the most exciting part of my day, mainly because I love talking about mounting tablets. We put together this quick guide of everything you need to know when it comes to mounting tablets.

What it looks like

You’ve probably seen tablets mounted outside of conference rooms at companies you’ve been to, or pictures you’ve seen. You might even have them in your own office. Here are a few from our customers:

When it comes to the tablets themselves, there are a bunch of options to fit your scheduling and room booking needs. Fortunately we keep a current list of our favorite ones here.

Your options for mounting tablets

Once you have your tablets of choice, next comes the fun part: mounting. Here are a few we recommend based on where you’re mounting your tablets.

Your options for power

Power over Ethernet

For offices where outlets aren't readily available, you can use power over ethernet adaptors instead. We recommend this one.

The Windfall frame above even has a compartment for storing it. If you need to remotely restart the room display's power via PoE, you will have the best success with finding PoE tablets for Android. Keep in mind that it should meet the minimum specs here in order to run smoothly.

Batteries

Some offices have limited outlet access, which makes direct power difficult. Fortunately there are a number of great batteries which only require a couple overnight charges per week to stay running. The best option for batteries is the conference room Windfall mount from Heckler.

It includes a fitted area for the Amazon battery listed above. This will sit flush with the wall and not require any extra maneuvering to set up.If you have a different type of battery, we recommend using a Windfall Stand and then mounting it against the wall with the battery strapped underneath.

Setting it up

There are a few ways to get your schedule on a room display without breaking a sweat.
